Game download stuck on verifying at 99%
I had to use an external hard drive for this download because it was too big for my main drive. Nothing else has changed. Thoughts?

Steam doesnt support games on external drives

When you use them, you're at the whim of how bad the controller is on external drive

You can find old post that difd a ??% then stop and antivirus app has qurrantine or block the .exe ( because you already tryeid 2 times its already added to its antivirus securiy. so third time will not help either if its been blocked.

you can also try add steam.exe to exception rule, but that wont help yuo then .exe is added to qurrantine folder maybe, i assume this.is why it keep doing this.


and it dont help then we all have seen 99% aka 100% progressbar take way longer at end.
could be a cache data issue in top of this.
