Looking for Games to Play in Short Sessions (1–2 Hours)
Hey everyone! My exams start soon, and while I should be studying 24/7, I still need some quick gaming breaks to stay sane. 🎮😅

I’m looking for games that work well in 1-2 hour sessions—not necessarily games you can finish in that time, but ones that let me jump in, have fun, and leave without feeling stuck mid-progress.

Preferences:

Any genre (but easy to pause/save).

Not super story-heavy (so I don’t forget plot details).

Satisfying in short bursts!

Games I’ve liked for this: [Optional: List a few if you want targeted recs!]

Thanks in advance—you’ll be saving my GPA and my gamer soul! 🙏

Ravenfield is good in short sessions. Pretty much any zombie game that's not story focused would probably fit the bill. Racing games are good for this as well. I, myself play games like Far Cry 6 a lot and even though it's story driven, it's excellent to kill a few minutes of your time.

Go turn base games, then you can save whenever you want, most turn base games do this.

Even fallout4 ( skyrim ) save whenever you feel like it ,
and GTA 3 to 5 has mission save. ( you have so many option to play single player games and Even i use the walkaway from them asap.

I use quicksave in F4 ( F5 key ) and then i use alt-F4 for fast exit.
many game can do this , not have to exit to game menu and then exit game.

Sorry did not think to explan this, because most past experience pc user do this
i only mention this if you did not know this fast exit ways.

and thats the diffrence in why diablo4 might not be a good idea if you need to clear rest of the dungeon or have to skip and then redo it later.

If you want something you can play for short periods, there is also HoloCure. It's often seen as a superior version of Vampire Survivors.

By the way, the creator of HoloCure is a serious gigachad. He's been making it as a passion project, one people WANT to pay for, but he always says no. He won't even accept money through something like Patreon. He's that passionate about Hololive and the members. A tip as well; once you unlock her, use IRyS for grinding money, she's highly efficient.
