Thumbs up on posts?.
Can you put a thumbs up on post as well as the point system emoji thing. When someone helped i would like to give a thumbs up in saying thanks.

Steam is not reddit, also we do have point system it is called awards. People do give awards if post / review / workshop item was helpful.

A thumbs-up system would just get abused by bots. Even the Steam Workshop has malicious content upvoted by defunct accounts literally in their thousands.
