Approved refund isn't showing well after estimated processing time.
I waited four weeks for the refund to show back in my account just to be safe. It isn't there and now the ticket is closed. I don't want to keep bothering support if I don't have to; as I'm sure they have millions + of tickets to respond to. Suggestions on next step?

Was it refunded to your bank or your Steam wallet? And how soon after buying the game?
Bank refunds that happen shortly after purchase (within 24 hours) can just cancel the original transaction before the money leaves your account, so you wouldn't see a transaction in that case.

Good questions, I should have preemptively provided these details.

It wasn't refunded to my steam wallet. Steam said they would process the refund around 30 hours after the purchase. It also wasn't refunded to my bank, and they have always showed a reversal (+) to after a previous charge (-) if it was refunded, reversed or never completed processing the charge. Of which they did not show the funds added back. leading me to believe there was an issue processing the funds.

How soon after buying did you request the refund? If it was within a day or so there's a good chance the money did not leave your bank so there is nothing to reverse, beyond the bank removing the hold they'd placed on the money, e.g. are you actually seeing a debit for the amount on your statement?
