Voice chat issues if on the same network (works fine if on separate internet connections)
Hi,
I can't get voice chat to work between computers when they are on the same network. I can call on the one end, but the receiver does not get any notification.
If I move one of the computers to my mobile hotspot it works, calls connect as they should.

Are there any router settings that is needed when multiple computers are used on the same network to make.

That's an issue that usually happens if both the router and Steam Datagram Relay fail to detect hairpinning. It's common if the internet connection uses CGNAT (shared IPv4 address among multiple ISP customers). A router is unable to detect hairpinning in this scenario because its WAN address side is just another LAN instead of the internet. Some CGNATs are configured to block hairpinning attempts which causes the voice chat connection to fail.

I recommend using a different voice chat solution, such as Discord.

Thanks, for the response. In this case the internet connection is not CGNAT, i have my own IP address
