How do i connect my new headphones to pc?
My mic on old ones died for some reason so had to fast buy today new ones so i can play with a friend.
I have no idea how to connect these.
Like on first headphones years ago it had 2 wires red and green and i had to connect those in the back each for mic and sound to work.
Then last year headphones had like usb plugin which was just upfront and worked right off the bat.

Well new headphones just got 1 wire and looks like the phone plugin i guess but got no clue where it has to go.
Tried the 3 holes in the back and the 2 at front and nothing at all. No sound,no mic working

Anyone got any tips,im bad at these pc stuff

Plug your cable into the port (hole) on the audio interface that has the symbol for headphones next to it. These symbols are etched into the metal and can be very hard to see, so get a nice bright light on it.

Then make sure that your default Audio Source is set to ‘Headphones’. Use your Windows search to find it on the operating system.

Yeah the 2 holes up front got the symbol headphones or a mic.
I tried both and still no output device showing besides default pc.
Tried even by restarting pc with it plugged in because on laptop thats how it works but not only my pc fully crashed,it still didnt worker

You have to tell Windows what the default audio output device is. Go to Settings/System/Sound and look at Output. Which radio button (that's what that type of interface widget is called) has the blue circle on it?

If your PC is crashing on restart, it may be a driver problem, i.e. Windows can't find a driver or found one that it doesn't accept.

No, pc is just 8 year olds and dusty as hell so if i touch it even tiny bit it crashes.

Also fixed the problem
So headphones have 1 jack wire.
I had to go in control panel and mess around there where all my headphones were registered and then put those as default ones.
But mic wasnt working. Why? Because of 1 wire.
Apparently i have to buy a piece and connect them to have 2 wires, each for headphones and mic.

Luckily for me, from my first headphones years ago,i kept a piece so i connected these two, plugged in front and it works
