Sacred 2 Fallen Angel CD keys, help.

I've been doing some tidying up in my attic and I found an old PC game called "Sacred 2, Fallen Angel". There is a similar game on steam called "Sacred 2 Gold". I unfortunately don't have a CD drive on my PC and I would like to try and install the game. The game has activation keys, but non of them work. Steam seems to want a 5 digit code and the ones on the CD box has 4 (as in: steam wants XXXXX-XXXXX while my game has XXXX-XXXX). Is there a way to install the game or register it on my steam account?

Steam keys are not the same as a random cd key. Steam doesn't accept just any random product key you find. They aren't all interchangeable or share a universal pool of keys. Unless the publisher explicitly made their cd keys reddemable on steam or used steam keys, then your only option is to buy it on Steam. Or get a cd drive. Or long shot, ask the publisher for a Steam key. Don't hold your breath.

If the key didn't work the answer is no.

Dig up an external DVD ROM player from your closet. Sacred 2 had annoying DRM, though. It probably won't install any more from CD because the DRM servers are certainly long gone now.
