Connection problem with Game servers search

Hi,
First I need to say that I'm having these problems for years, I never found what to search to find a solution for this problem (never cared enough), so If you know a topic or something that explains the problem and a possible solution I'm all ears.

Note: I'm having this problem while searching for CSGO 2 but I don't think it is actually related to CSGO.

When I use the search function in the menu "Game servers" to find servers to play on :
- most of the time my client does not find any server at all, or less than 10 or so, even if I have a good connection, filter is cleared, and I known some servers actually exist (I can join them if I know their IP).
- Almost always, it "kills" my whole connection on my pc. At that point I can either kill steam and wait few mins for my connection to work again, or restart my pc.

So my question is : why searching for servers seems to kill my internet even if it does not find anything at all ?
