Steam not accepting Amex?

I've tried buying games within the last week and every time I try my card declines. I've never had this problem before and I'm wondering if Steam has stopped accepting Amex altogether or if the problem is on my end. Has anyone else had this issue?

Sounds like you should contact support on both sides to make sure.

Yes I have been having an issue with my Amex card as well. Had to use a Visa gift card to buy the game I wanted.

I contacted the support line for my card and they said that nothing was wrong with it.

Steam support say they still accept AMEX.

I don’t know whats going on, but it’s at least reassuring that someone else has been having a problem.

It seems like it might be a Steam issue, cause my card is still being successfully charged for Patreon user I support.

No i have not resolved this issue. Steam support said it's my bank.. but it's a prepaid card

I also have been using my card at other places and online with no issues, and my card provider said there are no problems with my card as well, so I'm not sure what's going on. It must be something with Steam.
