formating hardrive question

i am reseting windows back to factory standard
but my external drive has steam and all games installed
will it still be valid or will i have to reinstall every thing games and steam alike

As long it work in NTFS and you dont have issue with it on the drev then drev seem to work as it should that the clue here. ( disk or should i said drevs have change to better over the many years you dont see bad sectors and or lost fat index issue or odd failed drevs as we did see in the past. ( as long check disk says its okay then trust that, ( but i and other also use a have drev make issue one time then it will never hget a full trust ever again, and drev might be doomed to a slave game disk untill it burn out.

( i will not put family picture on it ever as example. )
