Can I have my market access back?
Steam support removed my mobile authenticator for my account when I didn't want them to do that, so I had to re-enable it and I want to use the market to buy a game but I can't sell anything on the market to get funds to do that, until 1 April...because I had to re-enable steam guard...all that I didn't want to even disable but support did for me.

I sent them a ticket over a day ago and haven't heard back. Market still disabled until the 1st and I never asked for my market privileges to be on hold....

I asked steam for help I got punked :steamsad:

Nothing to do but wait, Steam Support can not shorten or remove market cooldowns, its a fully automated system.

Well we don't know what your original support issue was. And while you maybe didn't explicitly ask them to remove your authenticator, that may have been the process you requested depending upon your issue. Hard to say, you didn't mention it. At any rate support didn't probably spin a wheel and remove the authenticator, so there's some story missing there no matter which way you slice it.

Ogami is right though. You'll just have to be patient. And it sounds like you have a few weeks to figure out how to manage your account better so you don't need Steam support to intervene on some level.

I just wanted to see if I had the right username to an old account I thought I had made a long time ago, and to see if I could provide other information that might match the account.

They said it didn't match what they had on their end but they would disable the steam guard or something, so I could get into my account--but then they did it on *this* account, which isn't what I needed, so I think they completely misunderstood me.

So then I re-enabled it on this account, and can't use the market now because of it...I didn't ask them to do what they did, they just did it.

Sure it's possible support made a mistake. And unfortunately the steam guard cooldowns are immutable. You'll have to bear the inconvenience in this instance.
