Super slow verify and install speed only on steam
Has anyone had any trouble recently installing games? Like my download speeds are fine but as soon as it goes to install and verify files it slows to a painful stall for like 10 minutes. It's only on steam, I deleted and tested other games on different platforms.

Note that veriffication is 99% of the time slow because your anti-virus is stealing IO constantly

Uninstall whatever AV you have because its likely causing more issues than its solving

What are you installing to? It doesn't slow for me installing to either of my NVME drives and that's with Windows AV running.

As the other point at, and what about free storage space, if you are near full drev you just hit perfomance issue, even SSD get slow then it dont have space to dump data on it fast enough.

And watch out for SSD / HDD that steam is not default now on HDD see that in steam storage management . ( dont forget we cant see your multi disk if you have such. we are users here.
