Need help with a Problem with a refound, feel scammed
hi, i refounded a game but the refound went to an out of date card that is no longer accessible to me , it wouldnt let me change the refound target and after asking the steam support they basically said "what's done is done" ...

for a bit of context , i pre-brought months ago monster hunter wilds 69,99 , now that the game is out i downloaded it and it dosnt run on my pc, after many tries i gave up and decided to refound , problem is , during this months i changed my card since the original one went out of date and no longer usable, but in the refound request you cannot choose where the refound actually goes , it's automatically sent to the card used to buy the product, problem is , the card no longer exist ...
i asked support but the guy basically said , well it is what it is , and dropped the issue... and i feel scammed a little bit ...

his exact response was :

Hello,

Once a refund has been processed it cannot be reversed or change to other payment methods.

If you have any question, please contact the payment's support team for further help.

Please let me know if I can help clarify anything else.

Contact your bank. I'm pretty sure that refund will still be processed and will go to your account.

If you're new card was just a direct replacement of the old card the refund should be credited under the new card. If you got a totally different credit card you'll need to contact the original card provider.
As others have pointed out, if the refund gets processed, that bank account must still exist.

If the original account was closed *completely*, the refund can't happen and your wallet gets the credit.
when a bank issues a new card the account that it's linked to does not close, since it's only the card number that's changed.
