Steam Support form – Captcha not appearing
Hello,

A month or so back, my friend has had his Steam account locked automatically after clicking on a suspicious link from a scammer. When he tries to contact Steam Support to regain access, attempting to submit the required form presents the message "Steam could not verify your captcha, please try again."

However, no captcha appears in the form, and as a result he is unable to contact Support. This issue occurs for him on different devices (two laptops and a phone) and different browsers on those devices. If I'm not mistaken, all of the devices are connected to the same network.

He has tried to wipe the DNS cache from his main device via Command Prompt; this is a suggested fix we've found for this issue, but it hasn't been effective.

I may try to contact Support in his place if we aren't able to resolve the issue otherwise. Thank you for your time, and please let me know if more information is required. :MrFoster:

EDIT — The issue was resolved, see comments.

Also ask them to alt tab to ensure the captcha window is not behind the browser.

Your welcome. Update the thread if it works and what actually worked.

My friend says the issue had resolved itself today without attempting any specific fix. He says he disabled pop-up and ad blocking beforehand, and that there was no captcha requirement shown or mentioned this time. He was able to contact Support in regards to restoring his account.
