Disable LED / light on DS4 (Dual Shock 4) PS4 controller - Steam is ignoring the LED settings
Hi all,

Does anyone know how to disable the LED / light on DS4 (Dual Shock 4) PS4 controller - Steam is ignoring the LED settings.

I am using it on Windows via Bluetooth. I have Playstation and steam input enabled.

If I start big picture it seems to work, but not in the normal Steam client.

If I turn the controller off and then back on again whilst in game it seems to work. Very unusual.

Thanks

You can try in Steam>Settings> Controller> General Controller Settings

On "Detected Controllers", click on the controller icon.

There should be a option called "Preferences", click it and you can customize it. Like;
-Rumble
-Controller Light
-Controller Light Brightness
-Controller Light Saturation
Steam should be applying the LED setting when Steam > Settings > Controller > PlayStation Controller Support = 'Enabled' (just to be clear, not 'Enabled in Games w/o Support').

Is yours already set to 'Enabled'?

Many thanks that seems to have fixed it! It was on "Enabled in Games w/o Support" and not "Enabled".

Happy new year :)

What does general settings even mean? There is nothing like that.

@Memelord

Have your controller connected and go:
Steam > Settings > Controller > Calibration & Advanced Settings [Open] > LED Settings
