MAC OS 15.2 Sequoia
Just did an update to MAC OS 15.2 Sequoia and all the games I played before the update do not work, I tried un installing them and reinstalling them, nothing. Tried reinstalling Steam, Did not work. I have done the Verify integrity of game files under the properties. Anyone else have this issue. The games in Question are older games. Total Ware Empire and Sim City 4

Every update after Catalina 10.14 removed 32 bit which the update I had before was running the game fine which was also a model that was 64bit

You should look up if other people are having issues with those same games and potential solutions that might have been posted. Otherwise you could look into downgrading back to the last version you were on, it should be possible I'm pretty sure.

Mac ports of games are known to have issues, even recent releases.

I was already playing on a 64 bit operating system, playing those games, if your read my full description. Those games pages even show it’s compatible with my Mac, I had no issue until last nights update from 15.1 to 15.2. As before those games have been working fine as they have been updated to 64 bit, and been running fine. I was on 15.1 to 15.2 I was not on an almost 5 year old operating system that was still running 32 bit @reboot

Me talking about Catalina was answering the person who first responded question on when they took 32 bit away. It was not me saying I was on Catalina. And sequoia what I have been running was an update from 15.1 to 15.2 still sequoia. But don’t worry streams app update that just came out on Mac fixed it after the update. So problem solved

wscott8624: I had much the same experience. At first, Steam woudn't run. I had to install an older version. I got it running and reinstalled my old games. Fallout Shelter and Risk played fine, but all of my other previously played & working Fallout and Star Wars games would run with a black screen.

I'm having great difficulty finding an exact solution for this. I think it has something to do with screen resolution and windowed screen vs. fullscreen. I was able to get one of them to show the startup & menu graphics by using windowed mode, but they were in a tiny unresizable window in the upper left corner of a large black window that should have displayed the whole image.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
