Can I get steam gift cards if I’m gifted by a guest?

Planning on doing commissions and stuff for Steam Gift Cards and I saw that you need to be friends with someone for 3 days in order to gift someone a gift card but if you’re a guest can I still get the gift card since when I saw to test it out it said “steps to get steam running” so is it only for people who don’t have steam? Or can I still get it with my steam account

No account is needed, but Steam is still going to promote its service. IIRC, they person buying the Steam card tells Steam to send it to an email address, bypassing the need to be Steam friends with someone.

I'm not sure I understand the question in this context.

Gift cards can only be redeemed to an account. How it's purchase doesn't change that.

edit: Gift cards purchased/sent by guest checkout aren't reserved for new accounts, if that's what you're asking.

I'm not sure I understand the question in this context.

Gift cards can only be redeemed to an account. How it's purchase doesn't change that.
