"It's not fun" is one of the reasons to request a refund.
I couldn't stand garry's mod. My roomate loves it, I felt like I was stuck in some virtual troll forum where it's nothing but mic spam and 8 year olds. It was a terrible excuse for a game. I would have been pretty dissapointed if I hadn't gotten that refund.
i thought if you were /under/ 2 hours.. and had owned the game for less than 14 days.. they automatically gave you a refund and didn't even require a reason.
But.. for the record. In real life most stores actually won't refund items for "not fun" as a reason either. It usually needs to be for another reasons too. Like it was broken. Didn't fit your needs. Was the wrong size. Turned out to be the incorrecr brand or.. other stuff.
It says so in the e-mail you should've gotten too.
Some hours ago I filed a refund request with "It's not fun" on steam, even after reading this thread. The game was not fun to me due to minimum input lag and I could not solve the issue (usually its vsync), many forum entries are about this, but game has awesome ratings. I put this as additional information in the request and the refund request was accepted, money paid back.
and have had it for a month but no longer play it because of issues
Just yesterday I purchased 7 titles. I began as always after installing each game to check for any problems running it or low fps etc. Out of the first 6 games 3 would not play correctly due to my specs being just a tad too low or meeting the requirements but having an intel gpu instead of a discrete nvidia or amd. So I refunded 3 and kept 3, no problems there and only amassed at most 10 minutes in each game, enough to fiddle with video options and configs.
The 7th game, also the most expensive and also the last listed in my LIBRARY in alphabetical order was nothing what the screens, videos and reviews made me believe the game to be. I played it roughly 11/2 hours looking for some fun but decided it was boring and the very type of game I dislike and always regret purchasing. This is the game that was denied a refund.
Reason: Hello playoftheyear
We will not be granting a refund because you already have a large number of recent refunds. Please remember that refunds are not a method for trying out games.
I have had even more refunds over the past 3 weeks but nothing over 10. I am mad because it is the most expensive and I always watch reviews and do research on a game that is pricey. This game was on sale, then I found out it was a port of a smartphone game. It is monotonously repetitive and boring. I need this refunded.
