KEYBOARD wont type Steam login - only me?

For the past couple months I have been having issues with Steam login. Open steam and when I type in username no text appears. Very weird. Just a basic wired keyboard and mouse, no issue present in Device Manager of PC, keyboard work EVERYWHERE else but steam login?

To trouble shoot I also loaded Steam at work and it worked for a couple days and today SAME PROBLEM.

Any thoughts?

Going to ask you a generic question:
Have you tried reinstalling it?

Yes. Reinstalled STEAM. Not a bad question at all. It really comes down to just the password field. I can type in username and select all buttons but just not type password. There were some threads about issues with HID compliant keyboard devices, i particular Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver but none of those present.

Well, I found a fix. Its odd, But hoping this works for someone else. Two options:

1. Bypass typing by adding this switch to the Steam icon properties target field: ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -login username password
This auto enters the login info for you bypassing the keyboard.

2. Afect offline mode by adding this switch to the Steam icon properties target field: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -no-dwrite

Both resolved the problem for me when Steam reinstall did not.
