LEGO Jurassic World Problems
Hey all,

I got Jurassic World off of Bundle Stars and so before any of you suggest to refund it I unfortunately can't as it was a game key.

Now my problem: Upon launch of the game, my screen goes black then the message: Input not supported comes up.

I have had this before, but have simply solved it by setting launch options to -windowed then changing the resolution in game. Unfortunately this doesn't work with Jurassic World.

In the rare cases this doesn't work I will attempt to find the config file for the game, which have I have done. The file is named pcconfig.txt and is inside \AppData\Roaming\Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment\LEGO Jurassic World.

Once inside I have changed the values under 'ScreenWidth' and 'ScreenHeight' to 1920 and 1080 respectively. Upon relaunching the game the game goes into the loading screen (Hurrah!) but then is stuck there. Forever. The only way to get out is to force close the programme.

I now have no idea what to do and would appreciate any help.

Specs:

CPU: Intel i5-4690k
RAM: 8GB
GPU: nVidia GTX 970

Cheers.

What kind of monitor do you have? Maybe changing those two items isn't enough. Have you tried other settings like refresh rate or aspect ratio?

I have 2 monitors, one being a 1920x1080 and the other being a 1440x900. I have tried disabling one and using the other but again this doesn't work.

What I have discovered after messing around a little bit more is that the game works by setting the launch options to -dx9. Not the greatest of fixes but at least it works now.

Mine started doing this just today :/ Trouble is, I was in DX11 before this, so would be losing an entire save to it. That's all I can do, huh? :p

It worked FINE before, even earlier tonight, now just sueddenlyt started doing it.

If people have compatibility issues, that is the only option (i.e. to switch to DX9). I'm actually surprised that OP had a problem with his graphic card and (the latest?) drivers. I've got GTX 760, but didn't have that many issues at all. The game is probably poorly optimised to run on the latest graphic cards. As I said in my other post, this game was released too early. It probably needed another (at least) 3 months of polishing.

Yeah I would agree it seems as if they rushed it out in order to launch with the film. Oh well this temp fix is doing me fine so hopefully they will have a full one soon.
