If I type it in lowercase then I get the "Invalid Code please try again".
The Refund link is at bottom of ^ this page. Then re-login on there, then it will show your most recent purchases, select it, then run through the selections for explaining why u want a refund.
If u'd rather not refund it due to the sale price u got; then u will need to contact Steam Support and submit a ticket explaining the problems. This will take longer though, but due to u having a successful purchase that hasn't been used, they should be able to then supply u with a working key.
U can activate the Uplay key on any Uplay account; they are not bound together in any ways.
Steam usedt o have a unique wrapper for uplay games that auto-registered teh account. If you changed your uplay account later you were scrwed.
Basically this is how it works. Steam and Uplay are completely separate from one another, and so are the accounts. When u buy a game that requires Uplay on Steam, once u have the game (or addon) via Steam, u copy your key from Steam; launch Uplay and Login (Uplay account email and login is separate from Steam) and u go to your Uplay games area in that client and click activate and paste the product key from Steam there.
That is all there is to this as far as how it works. However, because u got the game through Steam, u will need Steam and Uplay clients open and logged in in order to now play such a game.

"Regarding your query,
We have checked the key code that you have sent to us and we found that your key is registered to the user name of lmfaoE3-laLAla & Email ID: mseresa*****@gmail.com
You need to login to this account in order to play the game.
However if you don’t recognize this user name, please contact your game retailer and let them know about your key code issue.
They should be able to provide you with a Replacement game or a Refund."
Well clearly that isn't even close to total-rampage or RAMPAGE572 so no that is not my account, thus I would like a replacement code thanks
