Should I play Half life or Half life source?
I bought the full collection, and I need cleared up: is Source a direct upgrade from Half life or are they different?

It's a buggy upgrade that has a few issues. You're better off buying this beauty

Ah ok. If you're familar with HL the original; it's worth just giving Source a shot to see how it differs.

I have never played a Half life game, I bought the full set and I just want to know if I should start with HL or play HLS and skip HL altogether.

Start from the very bottom with Half Life 1 and then play HL Opposing Force and then Blue Shift. You can then try Souce to see how it compares before you go on to HL2 and it's expansions.
