what file can i delete from my "backup" folder?
Hello i found a folder while looking at my computer called "backup" it have alot of files that are as old as 2009. what is this folder? and is it safe to delete it or some of its files to get more diskspace?

Im not the biggest computer wiz so i would love some advise

Assuming it's under the Steam folder, it's backups of games you downloaded. It's usually used when you are moving games from one PC to another, so you don't have to download them again. Because the Steam backup and restore feature compresses the game's files, you can also use it as a way of saving storage space and a compromise against uninstalling, which would require you to download the game again later.

As long as you don't mind downloading whatever is in the backup folder later, you can delete all the files in there safely.

Without knowing what software created the backup folder, it's difficult to say whether you might want those files later. I would be leery of deleting anything until I knew what the files were and if I would need them later.

all the files has "microsoft" in their name maybe its the computer backup?
