And no, don't send proxy tickets.
My friend, who plays CS:GO, was given a permanent trade ban. He does not even use skins or have any except a few drops. They said they woudld not respond to any other tickets by him and this was non negotiable. However, he has 10 years and has a great reputation, he doesn't want this blemish.
It has worked before. For example, many people sent Steam tickets to a guy on Youtube named Anomaly (I think) who had a similar situation recently and was unbanned swiftly.
I just called Steam Customer Support. They said to tell my buddy to call and they would look into it. They said that many people are just spam reporting now.
I called Steam Support and they said to tell my friend to call. They said that Steam has gotten many FALSE reportings lately and they could have just banned him on the basis that many idiots called him out for his good skill and decided to report him for this. I've had similar issues with Overwatch, being false reported and what not, but I have not heard of a normal guy being reported like this.
Also, you don't get a trade ban for good skill. Your story leaks at every possible corner.
Well I told them that he had sent a ticket and was given a response of no more tickets will be allowed. I'm sure they will tell him to send another ticket but atleast they are working with me/him. This happened about a week ago and he finally got the ticket response today.
