An EZ way to see games that can be played offline?

Gentlemen, I work OFFSHORE: we have NO Internet !!
I am looking ONLY for games that can be played OFFLINE. Is there an easy way to tell while shopping in the 'store'?.

As far as I know, all Steam games must be launched once through Steam before they can be played offline. A long time ago someone told me you could only play for two weeks offline before being required to connect briefly, then you could go back to playing offline. I've never tested this though.

That's for that. Many games intended as singleplayer [halo:combat evolved, Borderlands, Quake3, etc.] can be played to conclusion as described by you above. My problem is I buy a game only to find out it is intended to be played online, multiplayer, leaving me nothing... mostly I AM NEVER SURE what I am getting.....and don't want to pay it to find out.

Maybe a better way to ask is : Explicit multiplayer games CANNOT be played as standalone/offline games. How do I Identify those easily in the 'Store'? Thx

Games -> Tags -> Singeplayer (i use the german steam version, but i hope you find it!)

Ah, yeah... that doesn't help. That filter also picks up stuff like Warframe which can be played single player but is online only. The only way to know for sure is to check the system requirements on the game's store page. If it says it needs a broadband internet connection then it's one you should avoid.

There is no "easy" way. I would focus on single player games that are also on console and require no 3rd party drm.
