Repeated lag spikes in ALL Source games.

For around a month or so now I've had continually worse lag when playing Source games such as CS:GO, TF2 or Dota. It started out like this.

I could play the game fine, and then halfway through a match, my stable ping of around 20-40 would sky rocket to as high as 900 for about a minute, and then it would go down to normal, and I could resume playing. Now however, I can't even play at all because my ping is 400+ just checking the server listings.

I've tried everything from reinstalling Steam, reinstalling the games, turning my wifi on and off, using command prompt to reset my wifi, checking advice in discussions about the same topic and even calling my ISP but nothing has fixed this issue.

When I use ping test sites, I get a stable ping. Here's an example from one I did today http://i.imgur.com/nOONgnt.png?1

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? It's making me want to shoot myself.

Sadly, a lot of people seem to have the same problem. I've just been told "wait for Valve to fix it" but it's been a month, so I don't think it's gonna be fixed anytime soon...

Don't be afraid, or maybe yes, that's you're internet manager who's making a scan for them files so you're ping is upping they do this at the bigs connexion hours, why ? I don't know !

It's not my ISP. I've already had phonecalls with them. There's no maintainance or upgrades going on, and I get a stable ping when I do speed tests.

Me too and also when I call them they say "we are not expieriencing maintenance or upgrades sorry but you're problem is coming of you".

After search I found the problem was they check them files, so you got a ping like a cardiograph.
That's it ^^.
