Older Steam Cloud Saves
So the problem appeared few days ago in the game Battleblock Theater, where i was suddenly not able to upload any maps to steam workshop. I opened a ticket on game developers site, i already reinstalled game and steam but it did not fix it.

Problem is most likely with the steam cloud. (reason is probably unexpected computer shutdown while i was ingame) Last message i got from developers yet was suggestion to revert the older game saves. However i do not have older game saves stored and thats, why id like to revert week-old saves from steam cloud. Is it possible? If it is, how?

If it is not possible, i will probably have to delete all saves, loosing all 200 hour progress i had in that game.

Thanks for answer!

Steam cloud has no versioning or similar. It stores the saves you have and if you delete your old saves, they get deleted from Steamcloud as well.

Are you on on Windows 7 or not?

If the former, right mouse click the game on Steam > Properties > Updates > *Untick* Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Castle Crashers.

Navigate yourself to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user-ID>\
Your user-ID is your Steam3ID: 48689897
Right mouse click the 238460 -folder > Properties > Previous Versions

Backup the current data folder elsewhere.
Take a folder pre-existing the corruption; Open; Copy the folder from the "past" to the current's place.

Try to re-enter Steam and see how it goes.

EDIT: Fixed, I accidentally put Castle Crashers' APP-ID.

That is still a problem, because the oldest version of the file is 2 days old (because i reinstalled steam trying to fix that), i would need at least 6 days old saves.

If you deleted them, they don't exist.

Userdata folder with game contains one "BattleBlockTheaterSave" which is, i think, overwrited with every launch of the game. I cant just reload older save, because there is always just one.

Then you can still try to fetch an older version of the Program Files (x86) -folder [which is already a farfetch] and try to navigate to the older Steam -folder through that.

I'd still say your chances are pretty null now, sorry.

I was able to find in older program files 2 week old saves and replaced current ones. However im still getting same error. So i already reinstalled the game, reinstalled the steam, and now recovered old files, but nothing fixed that? Thats some alien activity happening here...
(yes, i turned off steam cloud trying to do this)

Now im completely out of ideas with this :(

I wanted to reset an other game but it doesn't work, I unticked the steam cloud thing and went into the game folders properties but older versions don't exist

That's true. You need to run an own backup solution of you want older versions of your saves.
