Did Steams linkfilter blacklist Facebook recently?
My wife still prefers to scroll through Facebook instead of X and when she thinks that somethings funny, she'll usually send the links to me through the Steamchat.
She has done so for several years now and I could always quickly open these links, but about a week ago, every single link of Facebook that I am clicking from her, opens the linkfilter message "You're leaving Steam. ... is not an official Steam site."

Is there any way to turn this off? I tried searching for it, but I can't find anything about this in particular. It isn't so bad if she just sends me 1 or 2 links, but some days, while I'm at work, she is sending me 20. Having to manually click "Continue to external site" everytime gets pretty annoying pretty quickly.

If she was using Discord, I'd just have her send it to me through Discord instead, but she isn't, we've always used Steamchat to quickly send each other stuff.

Yes, can confirm. I just checked.

It should be possible in theory by using script like tempermonkey, but I messed around a bit earlier and found out that if you ask your wife to add this line before the facebook link:

https :// steam community. com/ linkfilter/ ? u= INSERT LINK HERE/

you can open the link instantly in the chat. :beshaha:

Aww, too bad, but thank you for your response!

I tested it and while it does work, I feel like it is even more work to send links like that, than it is to just click twice when opening them...

Also it opens the Steamclient itself everytime I click on a link changed like that, which I also wouldn't want. :scmitsukipout:

That's odd. I clicked the link in chat through a browser with my steam client closed. it didn't do such things :msthinking:

Ah, I may have worded that wrongly... I meant my client is running, but the shop/library screen is closed. That one is opening once I click the link in the chat. I don't use the chat through a browser, but the links will obviously open in my browser instead, as always.
