Someone hacked and made some purchases on my account?
So i've checked my email account and found that on 07.02.2025 a lot of items from inventory have been sold (they've been sold with under 1 euro amount and not those of value ), but i had some money on the account and there's been purchases with those, some dota 2 items it seems (never played dota in my life) . So i assume this person hacked my account and bought those? I'm confused and i hope to get my money back, is there anyway to contact some steam support to help me with this situation?

You have been scammed.

Your account is compromised and until you fix it, ANY trades will be stolen from you....

Do NOT trade or authorize ANY trades until it is repaired. (too late now, your stuff is gone)

Do the following steps:

Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Change your password on a secure device.

Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Revoke the api key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

And maybe think about how someone has gained access to your account.
Well the thing is the valuable items i still have them in my account it seems. I don't care about those sold, but i care about the purchases that have been made, like can i get my money back? or get someone from steam to fix this?

Btw i barely opened steam lately, so i didn't do anything in terms of trading, purchases etc;
didn't authorize anything

thanks for the reply and i'll try to secure my account with those steps
oh okay.. :( thanks anyway
I keep it simple.
1. Make sure you do steps in 1st post, so you can kick the account hijacker off your account that 1st step need to do.

2. Market place items sold, or bought or final, there no recovery.

3. Products bought VIA steam STORE, you have to go to your account detail, go into history, select the items, and choose "I have question about this" explain in simple details so support isn't a wall text, simple enough to understand. You can remake ticket if you encounter a lazy support that didn't read for some reason. Best of luck.

When get time read my post here.

Hacked me too, 14 years of collecting, thousands of dollars gone between the 6th and 7th February 2025 with Steam Guard ... dota 2 will never see my money again. Hard lesson learned
