Game looks better than my screenshots

I'm playing a game @720p on a 1080p monitor on low/medium settings (Laptop 3050). When I take a screenshot using windows/steam/or Xbox game bar, screenshots are 1280x720p pixels which looks incredibly blurry and is a smaller image.

Is there a way to take a screenshot of how it appears on my screen as-is? My game looks so much better compared to the screenshot and is a bigger image.

Sounds like you are looking at a thumbnail and not the actual screenshot.

Windows screenshots dont have thumbnails. Also steam screenshots are saved externally so those are the actual screenshots.

Steam will take screenshots at the resolution the game is set to.
It does not take a screenshot of your tv, it takes a screenshot of the video feed data which is at 720p.
So if you want higher res/better looking screenshots you have to set the resolution of the game higher.
Also Steam by default creates screenshots in a rather badly coded JPG format.
You can set it to save a extra copy in a higher quality PNG format on your harddrive in a separate folder. You can do that in the client settings.

Steam also saves thumbnails of the screenshots and users often confuse the thumbnails for the actual screenshots.
