How to map trigger so any squeeze goes full and any relaxation releases it?
So I don't have to worry about hitting the limits to quickly release and press again. I'm not sure the game is paying attention to the analog value or the button representation, so ideally I would like both to behave the same button-like, the game doesn't seem to react in an analog manner so it doesn't matter if it's just looking for an analog threshold or the button signal.


Rephrasing what I'm asking for in case it's not that clear with all the tangents. I want to make it so any increase in the squeeze toggles the full-trigger and trigger-button signal on if it's not already on, and any relaxation toggles it off if it isn't already off. Direction of the change instead of position or speed; and maybe if possible with a little deadzone to filter off small finger twitches if I'm holding it midway in either state.


ps: Wasn't there a subforum specific about the Steam controller remapping functionality? I remember there was one, but I didn't find it when I went looking for where to post this now...
