Steam has a word correct, but they do not have a word app to fix misspselled words like MS office do.
ps.
And then you say "Right click disables" that mean mouse issue.
so technicaly uoi have pc system issue or mouse issue, and mouse driver issue of mouse is show signes of burnout , i mean this is seen before then system either have issue or mouse is.
Because right click mean mouse stop doing what it use to do.
Feel free to test with other spare mouse.
( i warn you here i have seen older mouse not work well at highend pc, i call DPI issue and just so you get it new gen mouse is 7200dpi or more, so you see the older mouse was 1800 to 3600 and even older was 800 to 1600 and below this, i just say if mouse act odd then you know why test with older mouse can be a new issue. ( only way you know this then you have multi pc gaer from the past. ) and the older mouse work fine on older pc but not on the new pc.
older mouse had diffrent build requirement then new once. ( old ball mouse is not a highend games choise ) and could have issue with working correctly.
Let me also say it's only in the forums of steam that this happens. For example I'm shown an underline in red under "3S" above and right clicking on that at this moment only ends up highlighting the 3S on my screen, so I moved to my Steam Library and right click on any game in the library and it works perfectly as it should, but come back here to the steam community forum and it does not bring up the tool tips to allow me to fix the spelling or add it to the dictionary.
I also just opened, fire fox, opera, and edge and purposely went to misspell words in each browser on websites that are not related to steam at all and right click the words that I misspelled and all of them brought up the corrections for me.
Now, I don't know what software Steam uses for their community forums but I thought a couple years ago that it was said that Steam uses their own special copy of Chrome customized to be used in their community forum, but I don't have chrome installed as a browser to test that out but will open up fire fox to ask google.
And here is what I found and right clicked and chose to copy it to my clipboard, which worked just fine but of course right clicking here to paste does nothing so I have to ctrl+v to paste it in:
Steam utilizes a custom-built browser within its platform, essentially a lightweight version of a standard browser like Chrome or Firefox, specifically designed for quick access within the Steam interface, including the community forums; it's often referred to as the "Steam Overlay Browser"
So, I'm pretty sure it is a problem with Steams custom-built browser.
So you say steam has a word correct which is what I'm talking about, it recognizes my mistaken spellings but sometimes like right now right clicking the misspelled word does nothing like it normally does.
I will now post this and restart Steam and simply type 3S and see if steam is back to normal, showing me the spelling mistake and allowing me to right click it to add it to my dictionary and post 2 videos to show it.
First video, right clicking 3S and it does not bring up the choice to fix my spelling

After restarting Steam, the auto correct function works fine again in the forum
