What do I need/do to watch a friend play COD?

I have a friend who plays COD. I would like to watch her play a COD game as she is very good. I don't play COD. I do have one COD game on Steam, but at the moment it is not installed and I don't know if it is the one she plays. Do I need her version of COD? Do I need a COD game open to watch her? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If they are broadcasting using the Steam broadcasting feature, you just need to find the broadcast. You don't need to own the game.

Thank you sauce, but, how do I find the broadcast? One time when she was on Steam and playing COD, I clicked on her profile, I think and there was an option to watch the game. But I did not do it at the time. Is that how I would be able to watch, just click on her profile or avatar and see if there is an option to watch the game? Related, I guess not all COD games are broadcast? The players have to agree to that, or how is it determined if a COD game is broadcast? Thank you!
