Windows audio replaced with steam streaming speakers & microphone
I’ve had this for a few days now and had no solution, my computer randomly decides to have the audio stop working on discord, then realize it’s on the whole computer now. I’ve checked everywhere and nothing worked. I have also been using steam link and everyone’s saying it’s because steamlink wants to be annoying and not get rid of its audio drivers after using one time, I’ve tried uninstalling the drivers, factory resetting, nothing works.
Can somebody PLEASE give me a fix for this

If you are using Windows 11, you can decide the input and output driver/device of your application.
I do not use SteamLink, so I am not sure why it would create its own audio driver, but you can manage it yourself.

Go to Settings > System > Sound > Volume Mixer.
Click the down arrow to expand the application input/output device.

As for Discord, that is separate issue from SteamLink. It will just try to use the default intput/output or what you've set it to be.

I have already tried that and my original sound doesn’t appear it’s just steam streaming speaker and steam streaming microphone

Also the reason why it makes new sound drivers it’s to be able to have sound on phone when using steamlink

'makes new sound drivers'. i dont reallyudnerstand your english but i know what your problem relates to. just check your sound devices, winkey+R , mmsys.cpl
in mmsys.cpl you can see them, make sure 'dont lower my volume when my microphone is active' is not on, thats a common for noobs.
if you actually think the driver is changing winkey+r , devmgmt.msc and look at sound devices. i seriously doubt it. the wire could be bad as well, if windows detects the wire is not in, it wont play i believe. bad 3.5mm wire?

What I mean by making a new driver is kinda replacing my default sound driver with steam streaming speakers/microphone and those are the only options appearing, nvida high definition audio is still there but it says it’s *unplugged* I don’t use headphones I just use the audio coming out the speakers of the computer

also it says my NVIDIA output isnt plugged in even tho its apart of the computer, also i have a laptop so it wouldnt make sense
