Steam Game Recording Stopping Discord Mic

I have been using Discord to talk while playing games for a long time. I didn't change any setting in the last week and suddenly when I start a game, the mic on discord cuts off. Ive traced it down to the Game Recording. When I turn that off, everything works as it did. When I have game recording on when the game starts, discord no longer received mic input. I have the settings set to only record game audio. Ive switched between those settings but it didnt resolve the issue. Anyone have any ideas?
