Stop Steam from Auto Opening in Opera GX
So, you know how you "Open in Desktop App" in the browser, i use to be able to have to confirm how that works but i had accidentally clicked the wrong button and now it's just auto opens, i like having the ability to deny it or not.

I've looked through google and i guess i can't find the right wording to fix this. like. "Change how opera gx will open steam software automatically"

For the last hour, it has been driving me crazy. :D

Thats a system default Browser issue in how they should handle external link's.

Example, i have firefox, chrome, MSedge installed, but only one of them can be system default.

Could also be steam now go to not secure links warning you mean. that is cookie and now merge into steam browser user data, you can delete that, i dont think there is other way , or wait to a few days and see if cookie or page cache will get outdate.

try delete dl cache maybe, maybe that can also get ride of cached webpage.

I've done all cept reinstall so far. even logged out of opera, put into default settings and relogged in to sync back up. i might just reinstall but at same time i would like to know the settings/options in case later down the road. i looked in opera at every single setting and went though so many, i'm sure i'm overlooking cause it's probably called something super silly.

Having ability to have a confirmation box pop up makes me feel safer so nothing just opens up randomly without me knowing.
done a reinstall. i looked in default apps. i'm completely at a lost for where to look now.

Try the steam flush cmd ( google how to do )

maybe that can clear steam chiose in enter link you have accept as the miss-clicked choise.

alo why clear dl cache and delete web page browsing was suggested before.
I've cleaned the whole browser, deleted all cookies, history, all the junk. went and reinstalled the browser cause that didn't work and still nothing.
I'm not 100% sure but not sure it's on steam side. the browser opens up the software from the link. Like it asks if i want to open up Epic Game launcher too.
