Paid for a Game on Steam, Payment Went Through, But No Download – Where’s My Game?
I bought a game today through Steam, and the payment went through. I checked my bank account, and the charge appeared, though it was still pending at that time. I then returned to Steam, but there was no download option, and the game was still sitting in my cart. I checked my bank again, and the payment was authorized and no longer pending. So where is the game? Now I’m $40 short of what I had about 10 minutes ago, and I still don’t have the game. I’ve contacted support, but I’d rather not wait a week for a scripted response that doesn’t help. Any advice or anyone else who’s been in this situation? Thanks!

What does the transaction on Steam say? That's the one that matters. Your bank may be holding the funds as that step occurs before the money is actually transferred and a lot of people interpret that as they money has left the bank. If the transaction hasn't actually succeeds you may be misinterpreting the situation.

Well, you sir are correct. It shows as "Failed" even though my bank shows other wise. Any reason why this would happen? I'm afraid to try and buy it again and be out another $38 until its refunded.. Ideas?

Banks put money on hold ...it doesn't actually leave your account.

Banks are for themselves and not you so you have to wait till they sort it out through their draconian ways
Quick update, and maybe you guys can help me out with this. I’m getting a “failed purchase” message on Steam because it says my address is incorrect. Which is strange since I use this same address on Amazon without any issues (unfortunately). To clarify the situation, I called my bank and double-checked my billing info—it’s exactly the same as what I’m entering on Steam.

I’m honestly at a total loss here.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

2 options - wait several hours and try again (maybe there were problems somewhere in-between) or click on the link I've provided > click on transaction > "I've question ..." > push ticket to Support.

You have far more protections if you use a credit card. I would never use a debit card for any purchase.
