Middle mouse button click scrolling ONLY works in steam....wth?

Razor Death Adder Essentials.

Is the mouse in question but i have tried all the working mice i have and they all now show the same issue.


This issue was present on the last windows install and now in thsi brand new windows install as well.

I moved the SSD to a new mobo and it seemed to work. But after i installed the razor software the mouse started acting weird.

For instance in Tomb Raider 2013 if i failed a rope arrow plant then the left mouse button would now be the defacto look down movement and any time i would left click i would start looking down at my feet. This would persist even outside the game. Outside the game the left mouse button would result in the mouse cursor going in a straight line towards the windows taskbar,

WTF?

And now i am having issues with the middle mouse button on every single mouse. They are all pretty much new and were working til i got this damn Razor.

None of my MM button scrollign dunctions now work. On any mice.

Except inside of steam. Here i can hold the middle mouse button and the circle appears and then i can use that to scroll.

WTF is going on?

I reinstalled windows in fear of actually being compromised. I read a story a long time ago where a hacker would force the CD tray to open non stop no matter what the user would do to annoy them so i thought i had been hacked soemhow.

I dont visit sea food prawn site sites. I dont DL random "free" games. I generally use common sense. I scan the system every onec in a while. I dotn visit the dark net. My risk factors are low.

Unless there is some sort of boot sector malware going on
