Please help me transfer game
i have an older copy of beamNG.drive, being 0.32 on my pc, and now i got it on steam but my wifi is super poor and it takes ages to download the game, am i allowed and what will happen if i move the old file and put it in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ directory? will it install the game? i dont have enough storage to copy and paste that file incase of damages and things going wrong. thank you

If the older copy is not from Steam it most likely will not work. It may be the same game, but the files will be different in most cases.

like uhh will it say that beamng version is old an you can update it?
If the game files are too old then Steam will delete them and start over from scratch during the install process. From your first post it seems you are low on free space. The install may fail if you don't have at least 2 to 3 times the file size free because Steam needs scratch space to decrypt and decompress files.

oh ok then ill reinstall the game... i feel thats safer to do and since im no "steam expert" i might just reinstall the game all over
No you can copy the files over. As long as the files are free from viruses and such there is nothing to lose. However adjust your expectations accordingly and be sure you have enough free space. Good luck!
