Query on video playback
Hi folks. So when i'm watching a video for a game on the game's store page - you know, when you get a video or two along with the screenshots - i have the choice to maximise that video to fill the whole screen. This makes playback more pleasurable.
The problem is that when i maximise i lose all video controls. I seem to remember previously that if i moved the mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen (or maybe just moved the mouse at all) then the playback buttons show up for me to either skip forward, pause etc.
The only control i seem to have when maximised is if i click on the screen it pauses or unpauses the video. I'd like to be able to see the video progress bar, volume controls etc so skip around the video and adjust the sound. To do so now i have to press escape, which reduces the video back to its original postage stamp size but i can see the controls.
Am i missing something basic here as i tried various key presses but could get nothing to help me, and dug around in steam settings but couldn't find anything, hence i'm here.
Any tips please?
Thanks.

Try disable "GPU accelerated rendering" in Settings > Interface. If that does not work then turn off "hardware video decoding."
In the steam client it is working as it should for me.

In a web browser when in full screen right click and select show controls

You sir are a tip top hotdiddly dang superstar. Did the first one (GPU accelerated rendering) and it works straight off thanks. You have no idea for how long i've been cursing steam for making this "change" before realising actually maybe they didn't.....

Thanks for just saying it works fine for you as that at least confirms that it's probably something specific to me...which it was! (see above). I was talking about the client, yes.
