"Append nicknames to friends' name" keeps unsetting itself

In the 'Friends & Chat' section of the settings, this is the top most setting. I keep turning it on, and every week or four, it turns itself off again. And I keep turning it back on. And it keeps turning off. Been happening literally for years. It's annoying.

How do I make it stay on?

Try all of them clear cache and delete webpage and Flush cmd.
