My freind gifted be subnautica because he is my pookie bear and i am poor, and after getting a nice 121 hours on the game steam wont let me play anymore because i need to join a steam family or something so i try to join a steam family and i cant because me and freind arent in the same country so now either buy subnautica or nothingsteamsad:

If your friend gifted you Subnautica its YOUR game and in your library.
Nobody can take that away from you.
If you dont have access to it anymore then something else is going on.

If you only played the game via Steam Family Share from your friends libary the new Steam Family System demands that all members are from the same country.
So in that case, yeah, you cant play the of your friend anymore, you will have to buy your own copy.
Since Subnautica is like 5 bucks during sales its not that difficult.

sounds like your friend had you part of their family sharing and now kick you out like Ogami says, buy the game
