Do the following steps to secure your account.

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

As already mentioned your items will not be returned, you can read more about that here:

Is this normal or what?

No it's not normal, unless your accounts has been hijacked. Do you know how you gave away your log in credentials?

Some possible ways like:

*Using 3rd party trading sites
*Vote for my team (scam)
*Claim free game/gift card (scam)
*You have been reported (scam)

That is most likely the reason why your account got hijacked.

No problem, just remember to try and stick to trading/selling on Steam and avoid 3rd party sites no matter how tempting it is. This is the reason why Steam does not support trading on other sites.
