Remember that marketplace sales will take a day or two for the funds to get passed on to you as Steam has to ensure the money is clean as a safety precaution.
If you got gems to make a 1000 gem stack try selling that, or if got enough gems to make booster pack to sell in marketplace can do that too, make sure said items can be sold before crafting booster pack, as games that get delisted will not longer allow items to be sold, existing items that are listed before game got delist are unaffected until removed, or sold, but can still be traded, or turn into gems.
If you own said games for emotes, and backgrounds you want to own, and already got those items, you can sell them, and redeem using Steam points, just make sure check steam point shop 1st as sometimes devs opt out their items from being redeem with Steam points.
