Steam deck won't stay on with out being plugged in
So if I try and start deck nothing happend once I plug it in about 5 sec later it boots up and runs fine, and battery say 100%. I unplug cord and it just shuts down instantly.

Sounds like battery problem, have try contacting support to do RMA?

Certainly a battery life related issue, How long have you had the SteamDeck for?

Additionally since Valve partnered with iFixit, it's pretty easy to purchase genuine OEM SteamDeck parts, If you're confident with trying to repair it yourself...
