Disk Write Error on Every Game
I re-installed Windows 10 and tried to download games from steam. In my old Windows 10 the games were downloading perfectly but after the windows it started to give Disk Write Error on every game. Please tell a solution that is not on the internet, it's been almost a year now that I haven't downloaded a game from steam.

Games I tried to install:
i. GTA V
ii. Counter Strike 2

Steps I've took to resolve the error:
i. Gave every permission available to steam (turning off read-only, giving write permissions, run as administrator).
ii. Re-installing steam
iii. Restarting my PC.
iv. Verify Integrity of files
v. Download Cache Cleared
vi. Library repaired
vii. Firewall permissions allowed
viii. Real-time protection off
ix. Changing drive in which steam was installed
x. CMD chkdsk, disk checkup for errors also done but FFFFFKKKKK Nothing working.
xii. I have 369GB free disk space while the installation need 114GB

These are all the steps I have taken.

Please tell me a way to fix this I'm dying to play a game I'm so depressed. NEED AN ESCAPE!!!!
Please Suggest!!!

I would run Chkdisk, this could be a hardware issue and it's just coincidental after you re-installed windows 10.

This is not partition type error. You probably want to be using NTFS on anything newer than Windows 98/ME unless you specifically need some legacy compatibility for some reason. What you suspect isn't based on anything concrete, I doubt you can support "NTFS causes disk errors, use FAT32" sources.

Think about what "disk write error" means, the program tried to write data to the disk, and the disk went "pfffft" which caused an error. And the first thing you probably want to do, especially if you see the error repeatedly is run some disk diagnostics. It's possible you may need to replace the disk. Nothing you did would have caused a disk failure, it's probably just bad luck.

If this is one of them External disk in Exfat, then athat why. its slow and technical could give transfer issue.

Why do you even mentions FAT , thats dead and gone for most MS windows user
i know you do not mentions them drevs, and look like own internal drevs once used.

Next issue is Laptop user if this is the case. or not enough free space, require way more free space then needed. GTAV is still being seen as new game that's 150gb so if you don't have 3 times more space then that, that's your problem steam will not help you fix free space. ( not a steam issue in what drev you have and how much space you are using. )

This actual tell alot of steam user, "You don't seem to know we have used NTFS sense MS windows ME version and never look back at FAT"

FAT and NTFS dont have same system rights, so NO not going to happend ever.
you dont even have a usb stick with it , it can give steam issue last time i help a steam user with it.

Disk is in NTFS format my boy relax.

You want ppl to relax here, then solve this yourself, i and other dont care if you have to buy new disk or switch drev cable or get other new pc. you see this fix all issue.

also why we other ask ourself why even mention FAT, that was so long ago, and for most ppl a old dead format, im not even sure ppl have camera ( memory card ) that use such old format, but again not a steam issue, unless its attached to the system, not sure i will say relax to ppl here.

could hurt you in get other ppl reply in what the heck is going on here. or give you a crazy idea what could cause this.

Feel free to reset windows and reinstall steam, even such advice is not first choise anymore, reason is who said you wont get same issue after you did.

gl with it.

"Disk Write Error on Every Game" sounds like serious system issue.

Genreally speakijng this is your anti-virus locking the files

Uninstall your anti-virus or add whitelisting
Yes, that could be another option. I suppose it might be a little strange that he could install Windows, but no games at all. That's probably a better explanation than hardware failure, in this case.

Hey bro I said relax in a bro manner not in indirect disrespecting manner. I'm sorry if you feel bad. I'm thankful to you and people helping. Peace ✌🏻 Also I'm considering to change my HDD, the issue still persists if I download the game in my SSD and my SSD is brand new. It sucks, why it's happening 😭

Don't have an antivirus installed, windows firewall allows steam and real time protection if off
