Ideally, Owlcat should fix it for all users, but their taking the easy route of blaming Valve for their own mishandling of the workshop removal.

After following loads of guides and threads, the one thing that actually fixed the issue was to find the button in Steam to unsubscribe from ALL workshop items across ALL games.
Sucks if you have a lot of workshop mods subbed across lots of games, but it did fix the problem.
Thank you for posting the fix for those who subscribed to the workshop mods.
Can i suggest a new thread where you highlight the fix so others can find it. I personally never used the workshop mods so never encountered the issue.
The only thing i would suggest is to tell others to favourite workshop mods so they can find them again before doing your fix.
