1. Check Drive Permissions
- Ensure that your HDD isn’t write-protected:
- Right-click the HDD in File Explorer and select Properties
- Under the Security tab, make sure your user account has Write permissions enabled.

2. Verify HDD Space
- Double-check that your HDD has enough free space for the entire RDR2 installation. Remember, the game requires over 100 GB of space.

3. Verify Game Files
- Before moving the game, verify the integrity of the game files on your SSD:
- Go to Steam Library > Right-click on Red Dead Redemption 2 > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.

4. Try Moving It Manually
If Steam’s built-in feature to move the game doesn’t work, try the manual method:
1. Navigate to the SteamLibrary folder on your SSD (where RDR2 is installed).
2. Copy the entire `Red Dead Redemption 2` folder to the desired HDD SteamLibrary folder.
3. Open Steam and go to Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders.
4. Add the new folder location on the HDD.
5. Restart Steam, and it should detect the moved game automatically.

5. Check for Disk Errors
Your HDD might have errors that are causing the issue:
1. Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
2. Run the command:
```cmd
chkdsk /f D:
```
Replace `D:` with the drive letter of your HDD.

6. Disable Antivirus or Firewall
- Sometimes, antivirus software or a firewall can block write operations. Temporarily disable them and try again.

7. Reinstall on the HDD
If nothing works, you might need to uninstall the game from the SSD and reinstall it directly onto the HDD.
