Steam Input is always enabled
hello. i have this issue currently where i have steam input disabled in general. but when i start a game it's always enabled and it causes me to skip a menu option in game. like for example i flick the stick on my controller once but the game is registering like i flicked it twice.

and when i go in the overlay to disable it i can do that. but the overlay lags a lot before i do so and i have to disable it every time i start the game.

You can set the per-game Steam Input setting via the Library.
One way to do that:
Right-click the game in your Steam Library > Properties > Controller > set the override.
Can then launch the game.

Sounds like Game devs is auto detect controll maybe thats the problem here , either check game own controll option or ask game devs for have ingame option.

years ago a EA game did this to me , it was my Flight controll it switch to and it as a 3D shooter, no one in right mid will think thatsd logic let me use that device. in a shooter.

years later i notice what was wrong, dont forget auto switch to a unit i did not even think a game could do this, but they can.

if you game has same issue i dont know, that your job to tell game devs or own game hub.
