Steam will not download Warframe files.

I've tried downloading Warframe on steam several times, and then gave up and downloaded it from the launcher, the problem is that Warframe has no social client built into it so I need steam to handle that.

And I'm not talking about Steam downloading some files but not recognizing the launcher, I'm talking about how it creates a folder and downloads literally zero other files. no Tools subfolder or anything, I would really appreciate some help on this :)

I saw a reddit post that said you have to remove it from your account, and then install it from the store page, by hitting play, instead of add to account. But what I did for it to work is I just downloaded it from Epic, then copied the files over to my steam folder.

It works for me:

1) Delete game from account
2) Steam - Settings - Download - Clear download cache (Relogin needed)
3) Add game and download
4) Disk write ERROR
5) Verify game files


(I don't know how it writes properly, my HUD on another language)

If you'll copy files from another source like Epic it may cause update problems

this worked for me - remove from account, then click Play from store page. STUPID and unintuitive but it worked
